Alize TimmermanTimmerman originally trained as a research biochemist. As a biochemical analyst, she published many important papers, journal articles and book chapters. Later, she took a degree in naturopathy, specializing in homeopathy. She has studied intensively with George Vithoulkas and Vasilis Ghegas.

Alize has been in practice since 1980. She began teaching homeopathy in 1986, establishing The Hahnemann Instituut of the Netherlands in the Hague, in l988. In addition to a full schedule of seminars throughout the world, she teaches a bi-annual weeklong seminar for post graduate students of many nationalities at the Hahnemann Instituut. For information on Alize Timmerman’s teaching schedule, check the website of the institute at: www.hahnemanninstituut.nl. (please note Dutch spelling: "instituut")

Timmerman is a creative thinker and teacher. She synthesizes ideas from many disciplines, including the natural and social sciences and psychology, most particularly Jung. Yet, her teaching style is straightforward. She is clear and presents to students not only successful cases, but those which challenged her understanding.

Jeremy Sherr highly recommends her, calling her "an inspiring teacher … well known for clarity and thoroughness." Bill Gray, M.D. says she is "one of the most practical and insightful teachers of this era." Jan Scholten admires her "precise prescribing" and Miranda Castro her "gentle wisdom and "fierce devotion to the art and science of homeopathy".
